I’m Nils Smith, the Chief Strategist of Social Media and Innovation at Dunham and Company. I have the privilege of serving ministries in the areas of strategic development and execution around social media and online ministry initiatives.
I am married to my wife of thirteen years, Katie, and we have 2 beautiful girls together. We love traveling as much as possible and when home love our adventures in and around New York City.
I am a graduate of Texas State University with a degree in Business Management and I earned my Masters in Ministry Leadership at Rockbridge Seminary. I have over 12 years experience in full-time ministry as a Youth Pastor, Young Adult Pastor, and in Online Ministry.
Over the past decade I have been very active online in maximizing web resources to further ministries through:
- Social Media Consulting and Conference Speaking
- Co-Hosting the Social Media Church Podcast
- Creating courses in the Church Technology Guide, Social Media Church University, & Amplify Social Media Academy
- Helping to optimize churches and ministries in search results using Searchable Church
Most recently I served as the Innovation Pastor at Community Bible Church overseeing the entire web presence of CBC including website, mobile app, tv apps, online church, social media, etc. I also had the opportunity to launch the ministry of Online Church for CBC which reached over 12,000 people each week from more than 400 different cities around the world. Additionally, we had a growing Facebook Community of over 850,000 people.
These ministry efforts have been highlighted in Church Executive Magazine, The Christian Post, KENS5 News, Church Marketing Sucks, ChurchMag, The Baptist Standard, Leadership Network, and several other media outlets.
It would be a great honor to serve your church, ministry, or organization in utilizing web technologies to accomplish your goals.
Whether we begin a contract relationship or not, I would love the opportunity to talk with you and discuss options available for your church or organization.
