Have you tried Fiverr yet?
I heard about the site about a year ago as the place people go to buy fake Twitter followers (yes, people buy fake Twitter followers). Recently though, the buzz has increased as not just a bunch of quirky digital items you can purchase, but real valuable resources that can be created. My first 2 purchases were silly videos for friends (check out this guy: http://www.fiverr.com/doyley3731/pop-my-eyes-out-and-read-a-message-aka-mr-zoom?context=advanced_search&context_type=auto&funnel=2014080319455455818751480). Well worth the $10 I spent, so I decided to get more practical. This week I purchased a new logo for my blog (see above) and an SEO report here of NilsSmith.com. While not great, they were definitely worth the $10 I spent on them combined (things I couldn't do on my own).
So while the site is still full of fun and quirky items which I will likely purchase in the future, I'm also getting very serious about the site as a go to for various digital tasks I need to get done. Here are a few ideas of how I see your ministry using Fiverr as an effective and affordable resource:
- Ministry Logos - seriously for just $5 you can get a ministry logo! If you don't like it there are dozens of other designers on here who can design one for you. I would actually buy 3 different ones and I bet you will like one of them.
- Announcement Videos- for Student Ministries there are some great silly ones like the eye-popping guy, Old Man Steve, and a guy who will get your message out of a coconut tree. There are some very professional options on here as well that could do a great job with your video announcements.
- Email Marketing Templates- whether you use Constant Contact, Mail Chimp or another platform there are folks ready to design email templates for your ministry
- Website Editing- need an extra set of eyes on your website. Hire someone on Fiverr to read through your website pages and recommend updates.
- Powerpoint Layouts- make your sermon slides look even better this weekend by getting some new powerpoint templates setup
These are just a few ideas, I'm eager to see what you come up with!
