Learning to Use the Facebook Schedule Button

Over the past year I had the privilege of speaking at several conferences around the country.  I’m often surprised at what people get excited about, but the biggest jaw dropping moment that I’ve seen over the past 12 months has been the introduction of the Facebook Schedule Button.  Honestly, I assumed that most people already knew about it, but I was very wrong!

Here’s what I hear regularly and what happened at one conference: “I’m too busy to login every day much less multiple times each day to post all of this content that you are talking about.”

My response: “Why would you, just schedule it using the Facebook Schedule button.”

Their response: “The What?!?!”

So, in case you don’t know, here’s what you do.  Go to your page, select “Status” and create a post.  Once the post is ready instead of clicking “Publish” choose the arrow next to Publish and choose “Schedule.”. Then select the date and time that you want that post to go out and there you have it!

At Community Bible Church and for most ministries that I work with we choose one day a week and in about an hour’s time we have content scheduled out for a week.  We still come back to the page regularly to monitor engagement, but no need to keep logging back in to create another post.

I hope this helps save you a ton of time and focus on building community on Facebook rather than keeping up with creating posts all day every day.
