5 Facebook Live Tips for Your Ministry

Recently I shared 5 Ideas for your ministry to use Facebook Live. This list could have been 100 points long and I think the best thing you can do is just start using it as much as possible and see what engages most and do more of that. As you begin getting more comfortable with Facebook Live here are 5 tips to help you engage more effectively:

  1. Title Creatively
  2. Don’t Overthink It
  3. Prioritize Audio
  4. Keep It Short
  5. Boost the Post

Email Marketing- Title Creatively

For the first 2 months of sending weekly email newsletters we titled the CBC Online Newsletter: "CBC Online Newsletter" or something similar. This sounded like a great title to us. There was just something about it that wasn't extremely appealing to our readers. After a couple of months, we made 1 simple adjustment to our email newsletters and our open rate more than doubled. We simply started adding creative titles, well at least descriptive titles with the attempt of being creative. By simply letting our readers know what was in the email and trying to make it appealing, they actually began reading it.

Here are some tips I would recommend in creating a title message for your email newsletter:

1) Keep it short 2) Connect it to the message 3) Make the reader curious

I would love to hear some of the creative titles that you have seen or used!

2 years ago I thought email was dead or dying and I chose not to integrate email marketing into our communication lines for Online Church.  I made a mistake and over the past year or so have been playing catch up.  While email is used differently than it once was, it is far from dead and can be very valuable to your church or organization if used effectively.  Over the next few weeks I will begin a new series on Email Marketing with the following posts:
